Frequently asked questions

Answers about KitLab: cost, accounts, links, privacy, getting kits into the game and what you're allowed to upload.

Using KitLab

Is KitLab free?

Yes. Designing kits and logos, downloading them and getting links are all free. There are no ad walls and no full-screen ads before you get your link. The game itself charges gems once to unlock custom kits and logos.

Do I need an account?

No. Your designs are saved in your browser on this device, so you can close the tab and come back later. Clearing your browser's site data, or using a private window, removes them.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. KitLab is built for phones first, with large touch controls and pinch to resize, and it works in landscape too. You can also install it from your browser so it opens like an app.

What size are the images?

Kits and logos export as 512 × 512 PNG images, the size the game expects. Logos have a transparent background.

Getting your kit into the game

How do I put my kit in the game?

Tap Get link, then Copy, and paste the link into the custom kit or custom logo screen in the game. The step-by-step guide shows exactly where to find those screens.

How long does a link work?

Each link works for 24 hours. When you import a kit, the game keeps its own copy, so your kit stays in the game after the link expires. If you need it again later, make a new link.

The game says "Unsupported format". What's wrong?

The link must end in lowercase .png. This usually happens when the link was typed by hand, or picked up extra text when copied. Copy the link again from KitLab and paste it instead of typing it.

Will my opponents see my kit online?

No. Custom kits and logos show only on your device. In online matches your opponent sees default kits.

The colours look darker in the game. Why?

The game adds shading and fabric creases on top of your kit. Pick slightly brighter colours than you think you need. Choosing kit colours that work explains more.

Your designs and the rules

Can I use a real club's crest or a brand's logo?

No. KitLab is for original designs. Only upload images you made or have permission to use, and don't copy real crests or sponsor logos. You can type your own made-up sponsor name instead.

Who can see my kits?

Only people you give a link to. Kits aren't listed publicly anywhere, and links use random IDs that can't be guessed. See the Privacy Policy for details.

I found a kit that uses my work. What do I do?

Use the copyright and takedown page to report it, and we'll look into it.
